This is our go to morning arthritis smoothie because of it’s anti inflammatory properties. You can also add uncooked oatmeal for the extra nutritional boost!
Pineapple papaya sunrise
½ cup of frozen pineapple
½ cup papaya
1tbsp coconut oil
1/4 cup of uncooked oatmeal
½ cup of unsweetened almond milk
½ cup of water or coconut water
Pineapples are a natural anti-inflammatory. The main component inside a pineapple is bromelain which is a protein digesting enzyme this is where the healing power comes from. The results are similar to anti – inflammatory drugs but without the side effects. Papayas are loaded with powerful antioxidants and also contain a powerful digestive enzyme “papain” which is shown to reduce swelling and inflammation. Coconut oil is also an anti inflammatory. Coconut oil also improves digestion, balances hormones, and increases energy.
