Why tea? Well because tea has so many wonderful health benefits and for the most part can be enjoyed hot or iced. White, green, oolong and black tea have one thing in common, which is they all originate from the same plant”camellia senensis”. The difference between these teas is the method in which they are processed, however, lucky for us they all contain antioxidants – catechins and polyphenols, and have a positive impact on our bodies.
There are certain compounds found in tea that may help in reducing inflammation in our bodies. Research studies have also shown drinking tea will increase your focus, concentration and memory due to the combination of caffeine and L-Theanine, which is a naturally occurring amino acid. Drinking tea may also help to fight bad breath and prevent tooth decay. Tea contains catechins which help to kill bacteria in the mouth. Did we mention it also contains calcium and magnesium, these two minerals work very well in maintaining healthy bones and teeth. There are so many other health benefits of drinking tea, however we wanted to share our top 3 benefits. Happy tea drinking!
